Itinerary

Explore Diverse Landscapes: Trek through lush primary forests and rice paddies while marveling at breathtaking views of Virachey National Park.

Relaxation on Koh Pong: Spend a night camping on a deserted island, surrounded by stunning natural beauty.

Day 1: Journey into the Wild

Morning: Gather at DutchCo’s office at 8:00 AM (or arrange for a pickup). Depart by vehicle at 8:30 AM and set off towards Voensai.
River Adventure: Board a narrow longboat for a scenic one-hour ride on the Sesan River, taking in panoramic views of lush mountains and vibrant birdlife.
Cultural Connection: Upon arrival at Leng Auw village, register at the Chief’s house and meet your local ranger to kick off your trek.
Trekking Experience: Navigate through diverse terrains, crossing the O’ Plong River. Engage with nature as your guide shares insights on edible plants and indigenous hunting methods.
Evening Campfire: Settle into your campsite near a stunning waterfall, refresh in the stream, and savor a delicious dinner under the stars.

Day 2: Deep into the Jungle

Morning: Rise early to the sounds of nature. Enjoy breakfast prepared over a wood fire and gear up for a day of exploration.
Immersive Trek: Follow the stream upstream, venturing through dense primary forest. Capture the beauty around you with regular breaks for photos and learning.
Campsite Retreat: Reach your second campsite, relax in the refreshing stream, and enjoy a cozy evening by the campfire.

Optional Night Hike: Experience the thrill of nocturnal wildlife spotting. Search for elusive creatures like Loris Pygmies and civets, surrounded by the enchanting sounds of the jungle.

Day 3: Island Escape

Morning: After breakfast, prepare for another day of trekking. Discover untouched paths as you traverse through vibrant foliage.
Lunch Break: Pause for a delightful lunch at a scenic spot, with an opportunity for a refreshing swim in a nearby stream.
Arrival at Koh Pong: Continue your adventure towards the breathtaking Koh Pong Island, where you’ll camp for the night. Relax on sandy beaches and indulge in a delicious dinner.

Day 4: Cultural Heritage & Departure

Morning: Embrace the tranquil morning ambiance with coffee or tea. After breakfast, depart from the island.
Agricultural Insight: Visit a local outpost to learn about sustainable farming practices and engage with the farmers.
Cultural Discovery: Head to Koh Piek village to explore the sacred Kachak cemetery. Hear fascinating stories about the animist beliefs and burial ceremonies of the indigenous Kachak people.
Return Journey: Conclude your adventure with a boat ride back to Kachon, where transport awaits to take you back to Banlung, arriving around 4 PM.

Nareth and her team are fantastic! We were there to build houses in the morning and they developed a custom afternoon itinerary that really helped us maximize our time in the area. They were all personable, easy to work with, responsive and flexible. Our guide Happy gave interesting insights into the local culture. The restaurant picks were spot on and showed the variety of local cuisine. The various sights we visited showed an interesting and diverse range of culture with something for everyone. Nareth planned an excellent and first-rate multi-day visit for us in Siem Riep. She is a great organizer, pays attention to the details and is helpful and flexible. Amongst the multitude of choices, she seems to know the best attractions and restaurants. From Khmer shows to the circus to artist workshops - she selects informative and high quality venues.
