Itinerary

Hotel Pick-up
Your experienced tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel lobby in the morning. We will then depart from Phnom Penh and head northwest towards Phnom Oudong, located in Kampong Speu Province, about 40 km away from the capital. The drive takes approximately one hour, passing through picturesque countryside with palm trees and vast rice fields.
Silver Smith Village Visit
On the way to Phnom Oudong, we’ll stop at a Silver Smith Making Village. Here, you’ll have the chance to observe local artisans as they craft intricate silver handicrafts, a traditional skill passed down through generations.
Phnom Oudong Exploration
Arriving at Phnom Oudong, a former royal capital dating back to the 16th century, you’ll learn about its fascinating history. The site, founded by King Srei Soryapor, is home to impressive stupas that contain the ashes of several Cambodian kings. As we begin our ascent up the mountain’s 500 steps, we’ll be surrounded by lush greenery. At the summit, we’ll explore the three majestic stupas and other small temples, all while enjoying a panoramic view of the countryside. Our guide will share the stories of the kings who once ruled here and the significance of this sacred site.
Phnom Baset and Reclining Buddha
After exploring Oudong, we will continue to Phnom Baset, home to a pre-Angkorian temple and a Buddhist pagoda that houses a reclining Buddha statue. The temple’s serene atmosphere and historical importance offer a peaceful space to reflect.
Wat Sowann Thamareach
We will then visit Wat Sowann Thamareach, a stunning Buddhist temple built in the Angkor style. Admire the intricate details of the architecture and the temple’s unique design, which makes it a standout example of Cambodia’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
Return to Phnom Penh
After a fulfilling day exploring Cambodia’s historical treasures, we’ll return to Phnom Penh in the afternoon.

Nareth and her team are fantastic! We were there to build houses in the morning and they developed a custom afternoon itinerary that really helped us maximize our time in the area. They were all personable, easy to work with, responsive and flexible. Our guide Happy gave interesting insights into the local culture. The restaurant picks were spot on and showed the variety of local cuisine. The various sights we visited showed an interesting and diverse range of culture with something for everyone. Nareth planned an excellent and first-rate multi-day visit for us in Siem Riep. She is a great organizer, pays attention to the details and is helpful and flexible. Amongst the multitude of choices, she seems to know the best attractions and restaurants. From Khmer shows to the circus to artist workshops - she selects informative and high quality venues.
