Itinerary

Engage with the friendly Brao indigenous people
Explore diverse landscapes, including primary and secondary forests
Experience jungle camping and home-stays

Day 1: Journey to the Jungle

08:00 AM: Meet at DutchCo’s Meeting Point or arrange for a pick-up.
08:30 AM: Depart by vehicle towards Voensai, then take a narrow longboat upstream on the Sesan River for about one hour, enjoying panoramic views of the jungle-covered mountains of Virachey National Park.
Upon reaching Leng Auw village, register at the village Chief’s house (entrance fee of $2.50 not included) and meet your local ranger to start your trek.
Navigate through diverse landscapes, including crossing the O’ Plong River, as you venture deeper into the jungle. Enjoy breaks to learn about forest foods and indigenous hunting techniques.
Arrive at your campsite near a waterfall by 3:30-4:00 PM. Refresh in the stream and savor a delicious dinner around the campfire.

Day 2: Deepening the Jungle Experience

Awaken early to the sounds of nature and enjoy a hearty breakfast prepared over a wood fire.
Continue your trek through dense vegetation, expecting an off-the-beaten-path experience with opportunities to spot signs of wildlife, including the Asian black bear.
Break for lunch at a scenic spot and, if conditions allow, take a refreshing swim.
Loop back towards the Sesan River, arriving at a new campsite near a stream in the afternoon.
After dinner, embark on a night hike to spot nocturnal creatures like civets and loris pygmies, enhancing the thrill of your adventure.

Day 3: Island Relaxation and Departure

Rise with the dawn to witness nature’s awakening. After breakfast, trek back through the forest to Leng Auw village.
Take a small boat to Koh Pong Island, where sandy beaches await for swimming and relaxation.
Enjoy lunch on the island before departing by boat back to Kachon.
Transport will be waiting for you to return to Banlung, with an estimated arrival time of around 4:00 PM.

Nareth and her team are fantastic! We were there to build houses in the morning and they developed a custom afternoon itinerary that really helped us maximize our time in the area. They were all personable, easy to work with, responsive and flexible. Our guide Happy gave interesting insights into the local culture. The restaurant picks were spot on and showed the variety of local cuisine. The various sights we visited showed an interesting and diverse range of culture with something for everyone. Nareth planned an excellent and first-rate multi-day visit for us in Siem Riep. She is a great organizer, pays attention to the details and is helpful and flexible.
