Itinerary

Morning:

Meet Your Guide: Our escort guide and driver will greet you at your hotel lobby and set off for a one-hour drive (approximately 50 km) to Kompong Khleang village. Enjoy the picturesque journey through the countryside, featuring palm trees and local scenery.
Sticky Rice Experience: Along the way, witness the production of famous bamboo sticky rice. Enjoy the opportunity to taste this delicious local snack.

Upon Arrival:

Boat Embarkation: Arrive at the Kompong Khleang boat pier and board a sheltered boat for a scenic cruise along the canal.
Floating Village Exploration: Observe the impressive stilted houses and vibrant fishing activities. Experience the unique sight of locals selling fruits, vegetables, and meats directly from their boats. You may also spot children in school uniforms returning home.

Afternoon:

Visit Floating Community: Continue your boat excursion into the floating community, where you’ll learn about their way of life and how the lake serves as their home. Discover the wonders of Tonle Sap, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, and gain insights into its rich biosphere reserve from your knowledgeable tour guide.

Return Journey:

Nareth and her team are fantastic! We were there to build houses in the morning and they developed a custom afternoon itinerary that really helped us maximize our time in the area. They were all personable, easy to work with, responsive and flexible. Our guide Happy gave interesting insights into the local culture. The restaurant picks were spot on and showed the variety of local cuisine. The various sights we visited showed an interesting and diverse range of culture with something for everyone. Nareth planned an excellent and first-rate multi-day visit for us in Siem Riep. She is a great organizer, pays attention to the details and is helpful and flexible. Amongst the multitude of choices, she seems to know the best attractions and restaurants. From Khmer shows to the circus to artist workshops - she selects informative and high quality venues.
