Explore the untouched beauty of Mondulkiri in this four-day trekking adventure. From the bustling streets of Phnom Penh to the tranquil jungles of Mondulkiri, this tour offers a perfect blend of cultural immersion and natural exploration. Walk through pristine forests, encounter the unique Phnong minority villages, and stand in awe of Cambodia’s most spectacular waterfalls. With ethical elephant rides and breathtaking panoramic views, this journey brings you closer to nature and the heart of Cambodia’s tribal traditions.
This tour offers an unforgettable combination of cultural discovery and natural beauty. You’ll trek through some of Cambodia’s most remote and scenic regions, encounter the Phnong people and their traditions, and enjoy hands-on interactions with elephants. Be prepared for moderate hiking, authentic cultural exchanges, and breathtaking views as you explore the lesser-known gems of Mondulkiri.
Your adventure begins with a drive from Phnom Penh to Sen Monorom, the capital of Mondulkiri. Along the way, enjoy a scenic stop for lunch in Snual, a town known for its French-initiated rubber plantations. The route offers a glimpse of Cambodia’s agricultural heritage. Upon arrival in Sen Monorom, take time to explore the village and its surroundings, if time permits. Dinner and overnight stay at a local hotel in Sen Monorom.
After breakfast, embark on a trekking journey to experience the beauty of Mondulkiri’s jungle. Enjoy a thrilling elephant ride through the lush, forest-covered hills, where you’ll admire stunning waterfalls along the way. Your trek leads to a remote Phnong village, home to one of Cambodia’s most unique ethnic groups. Explore their traditional way of life and learn about their fascinating customs. We will enjoy a jungle picnic near a hidden waterfall, surrounded by the sounds of nature. After the trek, return to Sen Monorom for dinner and overnight.
The third day of your adventure takes you deeper into Mondulkiri’s wild landscape. After breakfast, set off on an early morning trek through forests and hills, stopping at Phnong villages along the way. Take photos with the locals and experience their simple yet rich cultural traditions. The day’s highlight is the awe-inspiring Bou Sra waterfall, one of Cambodia’s most famous natural attractions. Enjoy lunch nearby before heading back to Sen Monorom. As the sun begins to set, visit the pagoda on top of Sen Monorom Hill for a panoramic view of the surrounding sea of forests. Dinner and overnight in Sen Monorom.
On your final day, enjoy breakfast in Sen Monorom before transferring back to Phnom Penh. Along the way, you’ll stop once more in Snual for lunch, arriving in Phnom Penh in the late afternoon, where the tour concludes.

Jamberger792023-11-21Go with Nareth and you won't go wrong! Nareth and her team are fantastic! We were there to build houses in the morning and they developed a custom afternoon itinerary that really helped us maximize our time in the area. They were all personable, easy to work with, responsive and flexible. Our guide Happy gave interesting insights into the local culture. The restaurant picks were spot on and showed the variety of local cuisine. The various sights we visited showed an interesting and diverse range of culture with something for everyone. We were a group of about 25 and they did an amazing job of herding cats and catering to many different tastes and opinions.
