Meet and Depart
Our escort guide and driver will greet you at your hotel lobby at 8:30 AM, setting off on an enriching day of exploration.
Visit the Rolous Group Temples
Begin your adventure at the Rolous Group, home to some of the earliest permanent structures built during the Khmer Empire in the late 9th century. Explore the three major temples: Bakong, known for its impressive stepped pyramid; Preah Ko, celebrated for its intricate carvings; and the bricked Lolei temple, which reflects the artistry of ancient Khmer builders. As you wander, your guide will share insights into the tragic history surrounding Bakong temple, particularly the impact of the Khmer Rouge regime from 1975 to 1979.
Afternoon Exploration of Banteay Samre
After lunch, continue your journey to Banteay Samre, a stunning temple built in the 12th century during the Angkor period. Admired for its peaceful atmosphere and exquisite architecture, this temple offers an excellent opportunity for photography and contemplation.
Discover Banteay Srei
Next, head to Banteay Srei, often referred to as the “Jewel of Khmer Art.” This temple is renowned for its stunning red-pink sandstone and intricately carved decorations. Nareth and her team are fantastic! We were there to build houses in the morning and they developed a custom afternoon itinerary that really helped us maximize our time in the area. They were all personable, easy to work with, responsive and flexible. Our guide Happy gave interesting insights into the local culture. The restaurant picks were spot on and showed the variety of local cuisine. The various sights we visited showed an interesting and diverse range of culture with something for everyone. Nareth planned an excellent and first-rate multi-day visit for us in Siem Riep. She is a great organizer, pays attention to the details and is helpful and flexible.
