Explore the UNESCO-listed Sambor Prei Kuk, once the capital of the Chenla Kingdom.
Wander through the three main temple complexes: the Southern, Northern, and Central groups, each with unique architectural wonders.

MORNING

Departure from Siem Reap or Phnom Penh
After an early breakfast, depart for Kampong Thom, traveling through the picturesque Cambodian countryside. Upon arrival in Kampong Thom, you will be greeted by scenic views of vast rice fields and quaint villages.
Arrival at Sambor Prei Kuk Complex
Explore the Southern Group of temples first, which dates back to the 7th century and was established by King Isanavarman I. The intricate brick carvings on the temple walls are an awe-inspiring glimpse into the ancient Khmer civilization.
Then, proceed to the Northern Group, where a series of ancient shrines and sanctuaries highlight the religious significance of this site during the pre-Angkorian period. Nareth and her team are fantastic! We were there to build houses in the morning and they developed a custom afternoon itinerary that really helped us maximize our time in the area. They were all personable, easy to work with, responsive and flexible. Our guide Happy gave interesting insights into the local culture. The restaurant picks were spot on and showed the variety of local cuisine. The various sights we visited showed an interesting and diverse range of culture with something for everyone.
